Lights Galore

When it comes to Christmas, there’s one thing you can be sure of: there will be lights! It is one of the many aspects of Christmas that is so magical. Many, if not everyone, decorate their homes with all sorts of Christmas lights. Some even go so far as to turn their homes into beacons visible from space. One of the great things about Fredericksburg is that there are many places to go and enjoy Christmas lights. Here are some great options to check out this Christmas Season.

  1. Trolly Tour

First on the list is the Trolly Tours of Fredericksburg. From December 16 – 26, you can enjoy a 1-hour lights tour that will satisfy your Christmas desires. You can buy your tickets here. But hurry! They sell out fairly quickly. We simply love the lights downtown during Christmas time. You can grab a bit to eat downtown and then enjoy a magical trolly tour. What’s not to like? And after the trolly, enjoy strolling through the downtown streets and see it all again!

  1. Concert in Lights

Every year the Spotsylvania Mall has its concert in lights event. You can see a beautifully decorated area with a gigantic Christmas tree and many lights everywhere. This is set to Christmas music, making for quite a show. The best part is that it is free! Click here to learn more about this fun and free event. Invite your friends to join you for a fun time.

  1. The Free Lance Star

Every year the Free Lance Star puts out an exhaustive list of great spots to see Christmas Lights. The current list is not out yet, but it is worth looking at. You can search for it on their site at The Free Lance Star. In the past, the list came out later in December. Regardless, we encourage you to check it regularly. We’d hate for you to miss out on some great Christmas lights opportunities.

  1. Have an Adventure

Nothing beats simply jumping into the car with your family and going through the neighborhoods in search of lights. It is an adventure every time, and you are only limited by the amount of hot chocolate you bring with you. We encourage this option in your light experience this Christmas season. If you are up to it, why not drive further? Virginia has a lot of great light experiences. Onlyinyourstate put together a list of Virginia’s 11 best Christmas Light experiences.
