Hey there Ironwood Family! This is the most wonderful time of the year for a reason. It’s an amazing time to spend with friends and family and reflect on the year. Although it’s been a wild one, we can still count our blessings and lift one another up this Christmas🎄 .

One of the ways we like to stay jolly during the Christmas season is watching Christmas movies 🎥 ! We thought we would take some time to share some of our favorite ones with you!

1. Home Alone
I think this movie left a mark on anyone who watched it as a youth. To be forgotten and left at home alone sounded like a dream until two thieves try to break in. As an adult, you’ve got to wonder, what did Mr. McAlister do for work to support such a big family and live in this incredible house 😊. Classic!

2. The Santa Clause
I can’t even count how many times I have seen this movie. So many amazing moments in the film. It opened our eyes to the possibilities for how Santa could even pull this thing off. Also, Tim The Tool Man Taylor going Santa Clause 🎅…who doesn’t love that? One of my favorite scenes is when Scott Calvin orders lunch for 10 and tops it off with a glass of milk. When he holds up the business meeting to finish his last bit of pudding is gold!

3. Elf
A newer film to the list of amazing ones, even though it’s already been 17 years since it came out! What is life???? Anyway, this one is amazing and maybe the most quoted year-round by our family? Anytime there is a sign for World’s Best anything we go right into autopilot mode. You have to love Buddy’s innocence as he discovers the real world 🌎  and what family is all about.

4. The Grinch
I think my favorite Grinch has to be the Jim Carey version. The costumes and set colors are vibrant and I love the come to life aspect of the Grinch. Getting to see inside of his home 🏠 and was a nice touch and also learning some history of how the Grinch grew up was imaginative. We all love a happy ending and it’s hard to not root for the guy as he learns how to love ❤️ !

5. The Muppet Christmas Carol
Curious to see who else is with me on this one! I grew up watching this one with my mom and loved all things muppets and Jim Hensen. This is a classic tale told through the lens of Muppets and I think that’s a home run. Gonzo the Great is the narrator along with his sidekick Rizzo the Rat. They do a great job of keeping us engaged and entertained as we watch Scrooge understand that how we treat one another is way more important than money! And you can’t help but sing along 😊
